Zaragoza, a town reaching 650.000 inhabitants, is the 5th most important city in Spain concerning size and population. What makes the difference with cities like Barcelona, Bilbao or Valencia is the fact that Spanish is the only language spoken in Zaragoza. The Spanish spoken here is very correct from the grammar point of view, close to Standard Spanish.

Despite the broad attractive offer that the city makes available, the tourists coming to Zaragoza are mainly Spanish. The foreign student coming to Zaragoza will not find a city full of foreigners but a genuine Spanish atmosphere where integration in the culture and the language becomes something easy.

Zaragoza owns a broad artistic and monumental patrimony as well as a very appealing cultural agenda for the visitor.

Zaragoza is situated at a strategic point from where access to the cities of Madrid, Barcelona or Bilbao, to the Mediterranean beaches or to the beautiful mountain landscape in the Central Pyrenees takes just a few hours.

NIGHTS AND FIESTA

Late evenings and nights in Zaragoza are well known in Spain. Hundreds of different musical trend bars, pubs and discos are located in different areas of the city. The night atmosphere is amazing and lasts after dawn. Late evenings and nights welcome everybody.

FESTIVALS AND TRADITIONS

All year long, there are local and national festivals with plenty of activities for both local people and visitors: El Pilar Festivals (9th-13th October), Easter, Aragonís Day (23rd April) and Christmas. Amusement takes basically place on the streets but nevertheless lots of other festive activities are organised.
